EOC Week 9: Three Great Mission Statements

"A mission statement is a statement of the organization’s purpose—what it wants to accomplish in the larger environment. A clear mission statement acts as an “invisible hand” that guides people in the organization." (Marketing: An Introduction, Armstrong/Kotler printed page 39) Mission statements provide a company's employees with a purpose, and the idea that they want to exude towards consumers. Successful mission statements will result in companies that flourish in their industry as well as the consumer market. Out of the mission statements that I read on our classmates blogs, the following three seemed to accomplish stating their organizations purpose.

"Diablo Vodka, an elegant red bottle of 80 proof, 40% alcohol Vodka. Elaborated with refined European grains; it goes through a quadruple destilation process, and just  a double filtration so it keep more of the good feeling. It is also mixed with a small quantity of pure cafeeine offering you the experience of a Rock Star: rock n roll all night and party everyday, and never having to be falling down or making a fool out of yourself, and just last all night long."
Diablo Vodka's mission statements clearly states that they want you to experience that party, rock and roll life style with their drink, without being the overly intoxicated rock star that we have all come to know. I feel Diablo Vodka's mission statement is to provide you with that rock star experience, yet still be classy.

"Our mission at Andes Vodka is to provide our consumers with the finest, smoothest tasting vodka so they can experience what real quality tastes like. What sets us apart is that our vodka is distilled through the waters of the Andes mountains so they can taste the clarity and smoothness of our product. Also, our product is refined through white Riesling-grapes from Chile- and with their light, luscious, fruity flavors, we can assure that the consumer will not only have a smooth, great tasting experience, but an incomparable one as well."
Reading the mission statement for Andes Vodka, I got the feeling of a very clear, natural vodka. With this organizations mission statement, I feel the focus is on the experience and quality that their vodka will provide to you as a consumer of Andes Vodka.

" The mission of Verb Vodka is to give a quality beverage to accent a good time, as well as promoting responsibility when consuming alcoholic beverages and participating in sexual activities. That is why every bottle of Verb Vodka comes packed with two condoms. Verb vodka prides it’s self on being the beverage that leads to a sensual and pleasurable experience, yet Verb Vodka understands the importance of being responsible in that arena also."
The mission statement for Verb Vodka shows that the organization is focused on the experience that the consumers have while indulging in their vodka. The only thing that bothered me is that there was no focus on the products quality but more so of the packaging and incentives that come with their vodka.

EOC Week 9: Creative Content

The creative content for my final project will include 1 to 2 images that will serve as advertisements for my vodka, Ano Makana. The images will portray a very tropical setting to emulate that carefree, relaxed environment. One image will be of the bottle alone, to serve as a product shot. The next will be on a side table with a martini glass with a hibiscus flower in the glass either poolside or beachside in between two women or a man and woman.
